Nia is fourteen and thrilled to be performing in Hairspray this summer. She begins classes in the fall at Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland and has been performing since age four in over thirty productions. While she has loved many roles, her favorite was Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls at Berkeley Playhouse. She is also a proud member of the A.C.T. Youth Conservatory, where she continues to grow as a performer and collaborator. Offstage, Nia enjoys playing competitive basketball, getting lost in a good book, and participating in various community service projects. She thanks her moms for their unwavering love, support and encouragement, and her friends, teachers, and directors for inspiring and believing in her every step of the way.
