What’s new this year?
We are thrilled to be expanding our schedule from six productions to seven for our 2026/27 Season. This season, we will be presenting five shows on our stage at 450 Post St., and two shows at the Creativity Theater at Yerba Buena Gardens. This expanded schedule allows us to offer longer runs at our historic theatre while presenting new and exciting works at both venues.

2026/27 Season Venues
Our historic venue at 450 Post Street houses our 265-seat Mainstage auditorium. This season, 450 Post Street will be home to 5 productions.
The intimate 180-seat Creativity Theater at Yerba Buena Gardens will host our production of R.O.I. (Return on Investment) and Perfect Daughter.
What venues are included with my subscription?
7-Play Subscriptions include tickets to productions at both 450 Post Street and the Creativity Theater; 5-Play Subscriptions include tickets to 450 Post Street only. FlexPass tickets may be used for either venue.
What seats do I get with my subscription?
Subscribers always get priority seating, meaning you'll get the best available seats in the house for your performance dates. In the vast majority of cases, this means you'll be in the Premium Orchestra section: downstairs, close to the action, toward the middle of the auditorium. In some cases, due to timing and demand, we'll put you in the next-best seats. But don't worry — you'll always get the best we have to offer at the time of your subscription.
Can I sit in the Mezzanine or Balcony?
We do not offer different subscription packages based on seating tier, and subscribers are assigned the best available Orchestra seats by default. If you have specific requests for where you'd like to sit, such as a specific section or row (or even the Mezzanine!), please let us know in your order notes and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Are the shows at the Creativity Theater 'Sandbox' shows?
No. Both R.O.I. and Perfect Daughter are fully staged plays with production values that match those of our Mainstage venue. Our Sandbox Series was built to produce 'pared-down' or 'bare-bones' shows, but these are full-fledged San Francisco Playhouse productions, just at a smaller venue.
