R.O.I. (Return on Investment)

By Aaron Loeb

May Lee is a star venture capitalist on the verge of becoming the youngest partner at her firm—if she can land the kind of deal that defines a career. When she meets Willa McGovern, a brilliant young scientist with a bold, world-shifting vision, May sees the opportunity she’s been waiting for. As Willa’s company begins to gain momentum, the stakes grow financially, ethically, and personally. What starts as a promising investment becomes something far more complicated, as ambition, belief, and bottom-line thinking collide. Set in the high-pressure world of Silicon Valley, Aaron Loeb’s R.O.I. is a sharp, fast-moving play about innovation, power, and the price of trying to change the world.

“A highly entertaining, ethically knotty and disturbing new play about money, morality and medical research.” Financial Times

“It’s thrilling to see a play that engages in big, contemporary themes, and that really goes for it.” The Standard
