Twenty-one years after Jonestown, the ghost of Jim Jones returns to Earth to stalk a survivor, hoping to bring about one final suicide. In the afterlife, his mistress and closest confidante grapples with her own involvement in the massacre, the choice she made to murder her son, whose relationship with her remains complicated. The Other Plane is a loose, experimental reimagining of the story of Peoples Temple, a meditation on the loneliness and desire for connection that drives people into cults.
