Derek Stern

Derek Stern is an actor, director, and writer. He recently graduated from SFSU Theatre Arts Program and is excited to be a part of Significant Other, his first post-college play. He’s particularly thrilled to have it perform at his second home, SF Playhouse. Derek has been featured in several productions, including Biloxi Blues (Arnold Epstein), Twelfth Night (Duke Orsino), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Peter Quince). He has also appeared in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Prelude to a Kiss, and Shrek: The Musical. When he is not on stage, you can find him House Managing at the Playhouse and Berkeley Rep. Derek would like to thank his friends and family for always pushing him past his limits and to go for his passion.
