Benoît (he, him) has been acting and improvising on Bay Area stages for over ten years. His favorite roles include Capulet in Romeo and Juliet and Stephano in The Tempest (Oakland Theater Project), Roat in Wait Until Dark (Coastal Repertory Theatre), Pierre in Adieu Monsieur Haffmann (La Compagnie Carmina), and El-Fayoumy in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Shelton Theater). Regional credits include We Players, Theater Rhinoceros, Stanford Repertory Theater, understudying at California Shakespeare Theatre, and working on crew at La Lengua Teatro en Español. Benoît performs with RagTag Improv and the improv duo Chatterbox. He trained with BATS Improv, American Conservatory Theater, Shakespeare & Co, and at Princeton University for his Ph.D. He was nominated for a TBA Award for Outstanding Performance in a Featured Role for playing Montezuma in American Jornalero (Oakland Theater Project) and for a BroadwayWorld San Francisco/Bay Area Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for Jaques in As You Like It (Half Moon Bay Shakespeare Company). benoitmonin.com
