Malia is on a musical streak at San Francisco Playhouse, having performed in the ensemble in both Guys and Dolls and Evita and serving as understudy for the Mistress in the latter. Other recent credits include the title role in Lizzie (6th Street Playhouse), Alice in The Book of Will, the ensemble and understudying Nina for In the Heights (Center REPeratory Company), a swing and understudying Audrey for Little Shop of Horrors, and a Kit Kat Girl in Cabaret (6th Street Playhouse). Some favorite roles include Mimi in Rent, Adela in The House of Bernarda Alba, The Acid Queen in The Who’s Tommy, and performing in Revelation: The Musical (Off-Broadway). Malia earned a BA in dramatic arts from the University of California, Davis, and enjoys directing and choreographing youth productions.
