Guadalupe Yepez is a first-generation college student from the Central Valley with deep Mexican roots and a background in Aztec dance. Concentrating on stage management, she hopes to someday become a full-time theatre instructor, continuing to act and SM on the side. In the past year, Guadalupe participated in Prospect Theatre Project’s Roosters as dance coordinator and Alba, the female version of Milcha Sanchez-Scott’s Adan, played Martirio in CSU Stanislaus’s production of La Casa de Bernarda Alba, set painted, sound designed, assisted with programming projections and stage managed at LightBox Theatre’s Night Fairy, and stage managed Hedda on Fire for CSU Stanislaus, which will travel to Edinburgh’s Festival in August 2023. Guadalupe is hopeful professional level theatre moves to the Central Valley where stories that highlight Latinx and people of color can thrive.
