Cathleen Riddley is a multiple award-winning Bay Area actor who is thrilled to be returning to the Playhouse! Favorite roles include Paulina in The Winter’s Tale (Cal Shakes), Mrs. Price in Tree(San Francisco Playhouse), every role in Hamlet (seriously – she played them all over the course of a year) and Lena in brownsville song (b-side for tray) (Shotgun Players), and Mary Tyrone in Long Day’s Journey into Night (Ubuntu Theatre Project). She is passionate about new work, and is embarking on a new chapter of her life by exploring directing Cathleen is a proud member of Making Good Trouble, a cohort of theatre artists in partnership with Authentic Arts & Media, whose goal is to empower Bay Area artists and staff to become anti-racism trainers. Cathleen is a member of AEA and TBA, as well as a company member with Shotgun Players, TheatreFIRST and PlayGround. She is an alumna of The Juilliard School, a nationally certified ASL interpreter, and earned an MA degree from UPenn. Cathleen asks that we all take care of each other and remember, Black Lives Matter.
