Louis has been an actor and director in the Bay Area for the last fifty years. He has worked with most of the major houses including American Conservatory Theater, Marin Theatre Company, Center REPertory Company, Magic Theatre, and TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, as well as many smaller companies. He works most often with San Francisco Playhouse and is pleased to return here, having performed in or directed close to twenty productions including the Playhouse debut It Had To Be You, plus Art, Into the Woods, The Nether, and, most recently, Cabaret, Follies, and A Chorus Line. He has been nominated for San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle awards fifteen times (winning five) and has been honored with other awards for his work. He has work in numerous film, commercial, and television projects including Nash Bridges, Trauma, and America’s Most Wanted, and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
