Unwilling to take the widely used but ineffective drug “Omni-RD,” and unable to wait for the highly in-demand cure that is only available to the ultra-rich, she ventures into the desert seeking an alternative. Set against the backdrop of a changed America, The Cure is a dark comedy about illness, adultery, and power.
